- The rate is very close to Afghanistan's and Ethiopia's, even though they have a lower income per capita than Bangladesh
- There are no regional health offices, only health agencies under the control of the governors and district heads
- Indonesia ranked 99th in health out of 139 countries after a study was conducted by the Switzerland-based international organization
