- To mark World AIDS Day, students have held a series of events (marches, screenings, etc.)

- Populations that are affected by the disease are shifting from year to year

- 2006-2008: highest transmission was among injecting drug users

- 2010-2011: shifted to heterosexuals; new infections were spreading rapidly through housewives

- Young adults 15-24 represent a large population of people that are living with the disease

- Education and awareness is still a  priority in preventing HIV/AIDS

- Discrimination is a huge factor in preventing the cause to treat/prevent HIV/AIDS
